What you’ll do

You will part of AstraZeneca’s information system team and work closely with both internal and external stakeholders, in order to make a positive impact on IT solution for the business functions.

Your job responsibilities will be, but not limited to:

  • Solutioning & delivery: design and lead IT solution delivery to align to business needs and IT strategy; manage scope, timeline, budget, risks, and quality.
  • Architecture coordination: Apply working knowledge of application/data/integration architecture to review designs, partner with enterprise architects to ensure standards alignment.
  • Cloud adoption: Use working knowledge of public cloud (Azure/AWS/AliCloud) to guide service selection and partner with platform teams on observability and cost control.
  • AI application: Lead delivery of AI use cases from PoC to production.
  • Vendor & stakeholder management: Lead vendor sourcing, SOWs, and performance reviews; manage cross-functional stakeholders and communications.

Essential for the role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 8+ years in IT with 4+ years in application/platform delivery; proven end-to-end project execution.
  • Delivery excellence: Hands-on Agile/DevOps and project governance (scope, risk, budget, quality).
  • Tech exposure: Practical experience with Java/.NET services, data warehousing (e.g., Amazon Redshift), and BI development (e.g., Power BI).
  • Communication: Strong stakeholder management, vendor negotiation, and cross-cultural collaboration.
  • Language: Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese, including Mandarin.

Desirable for the role

  • Architecture & cloud: Familiarity with enterprise application/data/integration architecture and hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/AliCloud).
  • AI exposure: Experience coordinating or delivering AI-enabled solutions such as chatbots, NL-to-SQL assistants, or AI agents.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical industry is an advantage.
