We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to help lead and oversee the delivery of a project oversight framework. Our customer has undergone multiple re-orgs and now needs an overall structure defined for project planning, tracking and delivery. Multiple teams work together to deliver each overall solution. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of project management methodologies, and a sold understanding of industry standard tools such as Jira, Service Now, MS Project etc. This role requires a proactive approach to managing resources, timelines, and stakeholder expectations while ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
*Duties*
* Drive project planning effort and work with sponsor to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
* Create and maintain project plan/tasks and monitor statuses
* Work with directors/team leads to understand their needs and ensure they are incorporated into the overall framework/approach.
* Manage stakeholder communications, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns.
* Ensure adherence to best practices in software development and cloud computing principles, particularly with Microsoft Azure technologies.
* Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
*Experience*
* Proven experience in a Senior IT Project Manager role or similar capacity, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
* Proven experience managing projects and deliverables using industry standard tools such at Jira, Service Now, MS Project, WBSs
* Proficiency in time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Familiarity with cloud computing concepts and experience working with Azure is required.
* Strong understanding of various project management methodologies including Scrum, Kanban & Waterfall.
* Experience configuring project tracking tools
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
* Prior experience with projects related to data engineering, data warehousing, BI and AI/ML.
* Familiarity with MS Azure tools such as SQL Server, Power BI, Azure Data Factory ADF, Power Apps, Databricks on Azure
*Project Duration:* 3-4 Months + Possibility of extension
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $80.00 - $100.00 per hour

* JIRA: 3 years (Required)
* Service Now: 3 years (Required)
* IT project management: 8 years (Required)
* Data Analytics Projects: 3 years (Required)
* Constructing a project delivery framework: 1 year (Preferred)
