On Site Millwork Project Estimator

Job Description

Commercial High-End Architectural Millwork Firm Seeks On-Site Project Estimator. Applicant MUST have complete and thorough knowledge of millwork/commercial industry, estimating/bidding on millwork/cabinetry jobs. Do not apply if not experienced in millwork.

Primary function is as the first point of contact and representative for Curry Cabinetry who evaluates potential projects and creates detailed estimates based on information gathered from general contractors and related professionals. In addition to evaluating projects and preparing corresponding proposals, the project estimator is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with general contractors and colleagues by following up to win contracts. As such, strong communication skills are valuable.

The individual is responsible for the following:

• Overall project evaluation, review, and bidding
• Follow up and pursuing award of projects
• Providing technical direction
• Ensuring bid compliance with quality standards
• Material evaluation, take-offs and pricing

Qualitative and Other Attributes Required:

• Ability to multi-task, stay organized, and communicate well
• Respond to project invitations, acquire pricing, read drawings
• Ability to read blueprints
• Ability to use Microsoft Excel, Word, etc.

Job Type: Full-time ON-SITE (Remote candidates will not be considered)

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: 5 years minimum direct Millwork Experience including Estimating
