Program Manager

San Diego, CA

Responsibilities:

Program Manager (PM) for providing Readiness Assistance Training Team (RATT) Support Services to Commander, Naval Surface Forces, Pacific Fleet (CNSP/COMNAVSURFPAC).   RATT is a Type Commander (TYCOM) asset employed to provide direct support to ships, at the request of the Commanding Officer, tailored to the ship's needs and requirements. RATT ship visits are intended to significantly enhance a ship's organic proficiency and capabilities for a discrete period of time as added capability to conduct training, and address material issues. The PM must be able to balance the team’s resources and simultaneously execute multiple events in a dynamic operational environment. The PM should be capable of managing a highly experienced and skilled team of subject matter experts to provide training to PACFLEET crews in multiple geographic locations.

The salary for this position is $150,000-$175,000.

Requirements:

  • US Citizen with Secret Security Clearance
  • Post-graduate degree from an accredited university in management or a technical field.
  • Over 25 years’ experience in the management of various labor categories and monitoring of costs under federal Government cost reimbursable service contracts;
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification;
  • Senior Navy ship leadership experience as a Surface Warfare Officer and Commanding Officer of a U.S. Navy warship;
  • Senior Navy ship engineering leadership experience as a Chief Engineer of a U.S. Navy warship
  • Maintenance/training staff experience (e.g. Immediate Superior In Charge (ISIC), Type Commander (TYCOM), or Afloat Training Group)
  • Extensive Navy technical management experience
  • Extensive experience in Navy ship maintenance strategy and process development, implementation, and control
  • Supervisory experience in analyses, information system operations, and implementation of technical projects
  • In-depth, detailed knowledge of Navy ship depot level maintenance processes;
  • Navy shipboard experience on multiple ships
