IT Project Manager Retail

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager with a strong background in the retail industry to lead and deliver technology-driven initiatives. The ideal candidate will have 8–10 years of hands-on experience managing end-to-end IT projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring successful execution within retail environments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead full project lifecycle management for retail IT initiatives from planning through execution and closure.

2. Partner with business stakeholders, IT teams, vendors, and leadership to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.

3. Develop detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.

4. Manage retail-focused technology projects such as POS implementations, ERP upgrades, system integrations, store rollouts, and digital transformation initiatives.

5. Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively resolve issues to keep projects on track.

6. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

7. Coordinate cross-functional teams including development, infrastructure, QA, business analysts, and retail operations.

8. Track and report project status, milestones, and KPIs to senior management.

9. Ensure compliance with company standards, security policies, and retail operational requirements.

10. Drive continuous improvement in project management processes and best practices.

Required Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in IT Project Management.

• Strong experience working in retail environments (brick-and-mortar, omni-channel, or e-commerce).

• Proven track record of managing large-scale IT implementations and system rollouts.

• Strong understanding of retail systems such as POS, inventory management, supply chain, ERP, and CRM platforms.

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

• Experience managing budgets, timelines, and vendor relationships.

• Strong problem-solving and risk management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP, Scrum Master, or other relevant project management certifications.

• Experience with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid methodologies.

• Experience managing multi-location retail deployments.
