Join our compassionate team and help us prioritize health As an Associate Actuary in Analytics/Forecasting, you will play a vital role in analyzing and predicting financial, economic, and other relevant data to support strategic and operational decisions. Your expertise will help establish metrics, provide in-depth data analyses, and bolster business intelligence efforts. By evaluating industry and market trends, you'll help forecast our organization's financial and competitive standing over various time horizons. This fully remote role does require you to work within the Eastern or Central time zones. The Associate Actuary will ensure the accuracy and integrity of our data by developing and implementing essential processes and controls. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to identify business needs, troubleshoot issues, conduct root cause analyses, and craft cost-effective solutions for data discrepancies. This role offers an opportunity to shape departmental strategy and empowers you to make decisions on complex technical project components with a degree of independence. Your primary focus will be supporting the Primary Care division, specifically concentrating on IBNR (Incurred But Not Reported) and claims analytics. Utilize your skills to make a meaningful impact Qualifications Required: Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Economics, Business, or a related discipline
Associate of Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation or higher
A minimum of three (3) years of experience in healthcare actuarial work
Eligibility for Humana's Actuarial Professional Development Program (APDP)
Proficiency in Excel
Excellent communication skills
Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences clearly
Passionate about enhancing consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications: Technical proficiency: experience with SQL, Snowflake, Visual Basic, or other programming languages

Employees in California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will receive compensation for their internet expenses. Humana will supply phone equipment necessary for your role. Travel: This position is remote, but occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be needed. Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Compensation: The salary range reflects a good faith estimate of starting pay for full-time employment. Your specific compensation may vary based on geographic location and relevant skills, experience, and qualifications. $106,900 - $147,000 per year. This position is also eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on company and individual performance.
