Position Summary :

The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing projects across multiple affiliated companies within the organization, including both equipment manufacturing and/or the parts division. This role oversees projects related to the design, manufacture, procurement, quoting, and delivery of asphalt plant equipment, as well as quoting and coordinating steel assemblies and associated fabricated or purchased components for the parts and capital projects.

The Project Manager serves as a primary point of contact between internal departments, vendors, and customers to ensure projects and quotes are completed accurately, on time, under budget, and within scope. The ideal candidate has strong project management experience, mechanical aptitude, steel quoting experience, and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.

Key Responsibilities

·         Manage multiple equipment and/or parts projects from contract award through final commissioning and closeout.

·         Manage stock job projects involving the repeat manufacture of standardized equipment and components.

·         Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and milestones.

·         Identify project risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies.

·         Ensure adherence to project scope, timelines, and budgets.

·         Review and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.

·         Coordinate with engineering, fabrication, and field service teams to resolve design or constructability issues.

·         Translate technical requirements into actionable project tasks.

·         Coordinate procurement of materials, components, steel assemblies, and subcontracted services

·         Support and prepare quotes for steel assemblies, fabricated parts, and associated items

·         Communicate with vendors and suppliers to track lead times, pricing, and resolve supply chain issues.

·         Plan and manage logistics related to equipment manufacturing, shipping, and site delivery.

·         Coordinate transportation quotes and issuing purchase orders to transportation companies.

·         Align internal production schedules with customer site readiness.

·         Track project costs and assist with budget forecasting.

·         Review change orders and support pricing or scope adjustments, working alongside Estimating and Sales.

·         Maintain accurate project documentation, reports, and records.

·         Serve as the primary customer contact throughout the project lifecycle.

·         Provide regular project status updates to customers, sales, and internal leadership.

·         Lead project meetings and ensure clear communication across all stakeholders.

Qualifications

Required

·         Minimum of 1-3 years of project management experience, preferably in manufacturing, industrial equipment, or heavy mechanical systems.

·         Experience managing projects or work scopes across multiple business units or affiliated companies.

·         Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation.

·         Experience with procurement, vendor coordination, logistics scheduling, and quoting, including steel or fabricated assemblies.

·         Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of industrial or process equipment.

·         Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.

·         Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

·         Must be a team player who is hungry, humble, and people smart

·         Ability to lift 50lbs.

·         Ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods

Preferred

·         Experience in asphalt plant equipment, aggregate processing, or related heavy industrial manufacturing.

·         Experience quoting or managing steel assemblies, fabricated components, or aftermarket/parts projects.

·         PMP or other project management certification (preferred, not required).

·         Experience working in an ERP or MRP system and/or other various database systems.


Pay Information

- The posted range is our budget band. Where someone lands depends on experience and how quickly they can run projects independently.
