Commercial Construction (Semi-Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Project Manager or Senior Project Manager with strong commercial construction experience to join and grow with our company. This role requires an individual who can independently manage projects from conception through closeout, support active operations at a Department of Defense (DoD) facility, and help identify and pursue new work opportunities.
This is a remote position requiring a high level of self‐direction, accountability, and comfort working with modern construction and project management technology.
Key Responsibilities
Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through final closeout
Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, subcontractors, vendors, and inspectors
Support ongoing operations at an active DoD facility, including coordination, scheduling, and compliance
Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, cost tracking, and change orders
Review contracts, scopes, drawings, and specifications for accuracy and constructability
Lead subcontractor procurement, buy‐out, and ongoing performance management
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and contractual requirements
Identify and help target new work opportunities, including assisting with written proposals and estimating support
Collaborate with leadership on strategic growth initiatives
Utilize and adapt to evolving construction technologies (project management platforms, estimating software, document control, etc.)
Required Qualifications
5+ years of commercial construction project management experience (PM or Senior PM level)
Proven ability to manage projects independently with minimal oversight
Experience handling projects from conception through closeout
Strong understanding of construction means and methods
Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
Comfortable working in a remote environment
Tech‐savvy, with an interest in leveraging and learning new construction technologies
Preferred / Plus Qualifications
Experience working with or within an SDVOSB environment
Government or DoD construction experience
Background in commercial carpentry or experience with a small general contractor
Familiarity with federal contracting requirements, submittals, and compliance
Experience assisting with business development, proposals, or negotiated work
