Atlanta Design Group, Inc. (ADG), headquartered in Norcross, GA, has an immediate opening for a highly organized and detail-driven Project Manager – Renovations to lead residential renovation projects with precision, accountability, and structured oversight.
This role is ideal for a process-oriented professional who thrives on organization, documentation, scheduling accuracy, budget control, and proactive problem-solving. The Project Manager ensures that every phase of a renovation project is carefully planned, tracked, documented, and executed according to company standards.
Position Overview
The Project Manager – Renovations is responsible for the complete lifecycle management of renovation projects from pre-construction planning through final completion. This includes detailed scheduling, cost estimating, change order management, subcontractor coordination, compliance oversight, and structured client communication.
This position requires a strong ability to manage multiple moving parts simultaneously while maintaining strict attention to detail, documentation accuracy, timeline adherence, and budget control.
The Kitchen and Bath Designers report directly to this position.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Organization
Develop detailed project schedules with clearly defined milestones and deliverables
Conduct in-depth project reviews to accurately scope work and prepare precise cost estimates
Establish structured project documentation including work authorizations, change orders, contracts, and permit tracking
Maintain organized project files and documentation for internal and client use
Budget & Cost Control
Prepare accurate estimates and manage project budgets with disciplined cost tracking
Review and approve all change orders with thorough documentation
Negotiate and manage contracts with subcontractors and vendors
Monitor expenditures and ensure financial performance aligns with projections
Site Oversight & Compliance
Conduct regular site visits to ensure work is progressing according to schedule
Monitor compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and company quality standards
Coordinate subcontractors and field teams to maintain workflow efficiency
Ensure proper construction techniques and high-quality workmanship
Reporting & Communication
Prepare structured daily, weekly, and monthly project status reports
Maintain clear, proactive communication with clients regarding timelines, expectations, and changes
Serve as the primary liaison between clients, designers, and subcontractors
Address issues quickly with documented resolutions
Risk Management & Problem Prevention
Plan ahead to anticipate scheduling conflicts, material delays, or scope changes
Analyze and mitigate risks before they impact project timelines or budgets
Resolve conflicts in a calm, structured, and solution-focused manner
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is exceptionally organized, deadline-focused, and detail-oriented. You must be able to manage complex renovation projects while maintaining clear documentation, accurate budgets, and structured communication.
Qualifications
Proven working experience in construction management (renovation experience preferred)
Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, materials, and methods
Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and quality standards
Demonstrated ability to manage schedules, budgets, and multiple projects simultaneously
Experience with construction management software
Strong contract review and negotiation skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong leadership and team management abilities
High attention to detail and superior organizational skills
Ability to anticipate issues and proactively solve problems
BS degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field preferred

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
