*Remote Lock & Door Project Manager*
*Position Overview*
Top Lock Locksmiths & Security is seeking an experienced *Lock & Door Project Manager* to support our national service operations. This role is ideal for a *seasoned commercial locksmith or door technician* who understands hardware, field diagnostics, and repair scopes, but wants to apply that expertise in an operational and project management role.
The Lock & Door Project Manager will review technician findings, prepare repair estimates, specify parts and labor, and manage work orders through completion. This role acts as the *technical bridge between technicians, vendors, and account managers* to ensure jobs are scoped accurately and completed efficiently.
*Key Responsibilities *
* Review technician field reports, photos, and notes to determine repair scope
* Prepare detailed repair estimates including labor, materials, and parts
* Identify correct hardware and door components required for repairs
* Provide technical guidance on locks, door hardware, closers, exit devices, and related systems
* Assist account managers with technical questions and scope clarification
*Work Order Management*
* Manage assigned work orders from diagnosis through completion
* Coordinate return visits when additional repairs or parts are required
* Track jobs that require estimates, approvals, or parts orders
* Ensure jobs progress efficiently and avoid delays
* Maintain accurate job documentation in the work order system
*Parts & Vendor Coordination*
* Identify and source correct replacement parts and hardware
* Coordinate with technicians or vendors to confirm repair methods
* Support vendors and field technicians with technical troubleshooting when needed
* Ensure vendors follow proper repair scope and documentation procedures
*Project Coordination*
* Manage multi-visit repair jobs and small projects involving lock and door systems
* Coordinate scheduling for return visits once parts arrive or approvals are received
* Ensure jobs are completed within customer expectations and service standards
*Qualifications*
*Required Experience*
* *3-5+ years of commercial locksmith or door hardware experience* with strong knowledge of
* Commercial locksets
* Exit devices
* Door closers
* Automatic door hardware
* Access control hardware integration
* Ability to diagnose lock and door issues from technician notes and photos
*Skills*
* Strong technical knowledge of lock and door hardware
* Excellent organizational and communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple work orders simultaneously
* Strong attention to detail when preparing repair estimates
* Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot technical issues remotely

Pay: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
