remains
in place today as we seek to promote knowledge learning and communication. About The Role Mary Ward House has up to 37 rooms to sell for events from
2
people right through to
5
00 people, you will
be required
to manage a busy venue diary and ensure the right rooms are
allocated
for the right event. The
Sales Co-ordinator
will report directly to our
Director of Sales
in a small, close-knit team
.
You will be the
initial
point of contact for incoming enquiries via phone and email
and will prepare event proposals
for
all of
our enquiries. This includes responding to online proposals via industry portals such as venue directory. You will be the key account manager for certain accounts
and responsible for building
a
rapport with
your
clients
. You will
be responsible for
loading new enquiries onto our CRM system and ensuring that room hire and day delegate rates
are quoted accurately and in line with our sales strategy
.
You will follow up on existing leads, produce booking
contracts
and ensure that they are returned
in a timely manner
. The role also includes a level of proactive sales including following up
previous
clients, presentations to potential customers and agents plus
showcasing
the venue to its
very best
on site
visits or open day events. You will work closely with the Event team to communicate client requirements and
assist
with providing every client
w
ith a seamless experience that leads to repeat business and long-lasting client relationships This role is primarily Monday
Friday 9am
5.30pm
you will
be required
to be flexible as occasional evening and weekend work may be
required
as per the business needs. What
were
looking for The ideal candidate will
have a minimum of
two
year
s
in a
sales
events based
role
within the hotel,
venue
or hospitality sector. Knowledge of operations
and the London events market
would be desirable
. We are looking for
a strong team
player who is
a great communicator, both verbally and written, and can manage multiple enquiries
.
You should be a strong multi-tasker who is able to keep on top of
several
different tasks
and prioritise your workload
. You will also be confident in
learning new
systems and processes, responding to incoming enquiries a
nd
building relationships with key stakeholders
. A
n
interest in marketing and/or social media
would be an advantage An ideal candidate will also d
rive ideas to help increase conversion or new business levels. This role would suit someone who enjoys a fast-paced venue environment, building client relationships and seeing events through from first enquiry to successful handover Whats
