POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The welcoming Les Jardins du Couvent residence is currently seeking a Night Personal Support Worker. Located in Marieville, where the countryside meets the conveniences of city living, we welcome approximately one hundred independent and semi-independent residents. Join our team now as a Personal Support Worker.

30 minutes from Montreal via Highway 10 East. 35 minutes from Granby via Highway 10 West.
Permanent part-time position, 7/15 schedule, 3 to 4 days per week, 56 hours every two weeks with the possibility of occasional additional hours. Day shift from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and one weekend out of two.


ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Adhere to standards and legislation in accordance with private seniors' home certification and the code of ethics
  • Answering call bells
  • Assist and/or accompany residents in getting around
  • Delivering messages to the nursing staff
  • In collaboration with the different teams, carry out health and hygienic care to the residents while maintaining their dignity and integrity .
  • Promote and advocate for proactive care among residents
  • Respond to all emergency situations
  • While interacting with them, report any noticeable changes in a residents mental or physical health to the on-call nurse.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Up to date CPR / AED training certificates
  • PDSB training
  • APRPA training
  • Knowledge of retirement homes, a major asset
  • 1 year of relevant experience will be considered an important asset
