Join our bustling warehouse team in Houston, Texas, as a Picker/Packer! We are looking for energetic and reliable individuals to fulfill customer orders with speed and accuracy. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for locating items in the warehouse, accurately picking them according to order sheets, and then carefully packaging them for shipment. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring that our customers receive their orders correctly and in excellent condition. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential. Safety is a top priority, and all team members are expected to adhere to strict safety protocols, including the use of appropriate PPE.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on customer orders using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Package picked items securely and appropriately for shipment, selecting correct packaging materials.
- Label packages accurately with shipping information.
- Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and work area.
- Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy through proper picking and reporting of discrepancies.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, including proper lifting techniques and the use of required PPE.
- Contribute to team efforts by assisting with other warehouse tasks as needed.
- Meet or exceed performance standards for picking and packing efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a picker, packer, or in a similar warehouse role is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and order forms.
- Familiarity with RF scanning equipment is advantageous.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and walk throughout the warehouse.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following all safety instructions.
