We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our San Francisco, California warehouse team. This critical role involves operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, load, unload, and stack materials. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe and efficient operation, extensive knowledge of warehouse safety procedures, and a strong understanding of logistics operations. You will be responsible for ensuring that materials are moved accurately and efficiently to support our operational flow. Attention to detail is paramount, as is the ability to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues. This role requires physical dexterity and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting. Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory at all times. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and stability.
- Stack and retrieve materials from warehouse racks.
- Transport materials to and from various departments within the warehouse.
- Inspect forklift equipment daily and report any issues.
- Follow all safety regulations and company procedures.
- Wear appropriate PPE, including safety shoes and vests.
- Assist with inventory management and stock placement.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and regulations.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including Lifting and moving items up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of logistics and material handling principles.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to adhering to PPE requirements and safety standards.
- Must be reliable and able to work flexible hours if needed.
