We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Shipping Clerk to become a vital part of our logistics team in Phoenix, Arizona. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to all company and carrier standards. Your primary focus will be on preparing orders, coordinating with shipping partners, and maintaining comprehensive records of all dispatched goods. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to operational excellence. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our products reach their destinations smoothly and efficiently, contributing directly to customer satisfaction and the overall success of our supply chain.Responsibilities include:
- Processing and preparing all outbound shipments for delivery.
- Generating accurate shipping labels, packing slips, and necessary freight documentation.
- Coordinating with multiple shipping carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, LTL providers) to schedule pickups and manage transit times.
- Conducting thorough quality checks on orders to ensure accuracy and completeness before dispatch.
- Packaging items securely and appropriately to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintaining meticulous records of all shipments, including tracking information and delivery confirmations.
- Communicating effectively with internal departments and external customers regarding shipment status and any potential issues.
- Strictly adhering to all shipping regulations and company Safety protocols, including the mandatory use of PPE .
- Assisting with inventory verification and cycle counts to maintain stock accuracy.
- Proactively identifying and resolving any discrepancies or problems that arise in the shipping process.
- This role involves moderate physical activity, including the potential for regular Lifting .
- Proficiency in utilizing shipping software, carrier portals, and warehouse management systems (WMS) is essential.
- Contributing to the optimization of shipping workflows and overall Logistics efficiency.
- Handling any return shipments or damaged goods claims.
