Join our dynamic team as an Order Picker in Virginia Beach, Virginia! We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented individuals to accurately pick and fulfill customer orders in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role is crucial to our logistics operations, ensuring that our customers receive their products quickly and correctly. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for navigating the warehouse using scanning equipment, locating items, and preparing them for shipment. Your efficiency and accuracy directly impact our success.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using handheld scanners and pick lists.
- Locate and retrieve products from warehouse shelves and storage locations.
- Verify product codes and quantities against order specifications.
- Package items securely for shipment, ensuring product integrity.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Report any discrepancies or damages to inventory immediately.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or order picking experience is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent walking, standing, bending, and reaching.
- Comfortable with Lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles is beneficial.
