We are seeking a dedicated Picker/Packer to join our bustling warehouse team in Kansas City, Missouri. This critical role ensures that customer orders are accurately assembled and prepared for shipment, forming a vital link in our logistics chain. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for retrieving items from inventory using scanning technology or pick lists and then carefully packaging them for safe delivery. Maintaining a safe work environment is a top priority, and all employees are required to adhere to strict Safety guidelines and utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position involves significant physical activity, including frequent Lifting of items of varying weights and sizes. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves according to order specifications.
- Verify item details and quantities during the picking process.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers.
- Apply shipping labels and any necessary documentation to packages.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure orders are complete and undamaged.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Follow all company Safety protocols and utilize required PPE.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment as needed.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the picking and packing process within the logistics flow.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to the supervisor promptly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a similar warehouse role is a plus.
- Ability to perform regular Lifting of items weighing up to 35 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse Safety procedures.
- Ability to work at a steady pace in a dynamic environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a good work ethic.
- Must be willing to wear and use all mandated PPE.
- Team player with effective communication skills.
- Understanding of basic inventory and logistics principles.
