This role is central to maintaining smooth warehouse operations, coordinating staff, managing inventory, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods. The Warehouse Coordinator will oversee a variety of tasks, from inventory control to ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping.
- Coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
- Manage inventory levels, conduct regular stocktakes, and implement inventory control procedures.
- Ensure the proper and safe use of warehouse equipment and machinery.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, enforcing all safety regulations.
- Process shipping and receiving documentation accurately.
- Coordinate with carriers and vendors to schedule deliveries and pickups.
- Train new employees on warehouse procedures and safety protocols.
- Implement and enforce the use of PPE for all warehouse personnel.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in warehouse coordination or a similar supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations within a logistics environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and data entry.
- Must be capable of physical tasks, including lifting up to 35 lbs.
