Are you looking for an exciting opportunity in the heart of New York City, New York? We are hiring an Order Picker to join our fast-paced logistics facility. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently picking customer orders from warehouse shelves. This position requires speed, accuracy, and a keen eye for detail to ensure customer satisfaction. You will work closely with our inventory management system and contribute to the smooth operation of our distribution center. Safety is paramount, and you will be trained on all safety protocols and the use of required PPE.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on customer order lists or electronic systems.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Stage picked items for packing and shipping.
- Operate picking equipment, such as order pickers and pallet jacks.
- Maintain organized and clean work areas.
- Participate in inventory counts and cycle checks.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines, including the proper use of PPE.
- Report any discrepancies or damages immediately.
- Meet established productivity and accuracy targets.
- Assist with other warehouse functions as needed, contributing to overall logistics efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse role is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with RF scanners and warehouse management systems.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting, up to 35 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move quickly for extended periods.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the correct use of PPE.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours if needed.
