Seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our busy logistics hub in Seattle, Washington! Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Transport goods to and from designated areas, including storage and shipping docks.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of forklifts, reporting any issues.
- Assist with order picking, packing, and shipping as needed.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and report discrepancies.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Follow strict safety guidelines for operating heavy machinery.
- Participate in warehouse organization and clean-up efforts.
- Support overall logistics operations and team goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA).
- Proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Ability to operate various types of forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Knowledge of material handling techniques and equipment.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Physical ability to perform warehouse tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to wearing required PPE at all times.
- Excellent attention to detail and reliability.
