Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic warehouse team in Des Moines, Iowa. This critical role ensures the accuracy of our inventory data, minimizing discrepancies and optimizing stock levels. You will be responsible for conducting cycle counts, performing physical inventory audits, and reconciling any variances. Your keen eye for detail will be essential in maintaining the integrity of our stock and contributing to efficient warehouse operations. This position offers a competitive hourly wage and opportunities for growth within our logistics department. The ideal candidate will have experience with inventory management software and a strong understanding of warehouse procedures. Attention to detail and the ability to work independently are key. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Conducting regular cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy. Investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies through root cause analysis. Performing full physical inventory counts as scheduled. Maintaining accurate inventory records in the WMS. Reconciling discrepancies between physical counts and system records. Identifying and reporting slow-moving or obsolete stock. Participating in process improvement initiatives to enhance inventory control. Collaborating with other warehouse departments to ensure smooth operations. Adhering to all company safety policies and procedures. The ability to perform tasks involving moderate physical exertion, including occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs, is required. Experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is highly desirable.
