You will be responsible for a variety of tasks including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping, all while adhering to strict safety guidelines and using the necessary PPE. This is a demanding but rewarding position within the logistics sector.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unpack, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Organize and stock materials in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper inventory rotation.
- Accurately pick items from inventory for customer orders or internal transfers.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently, preparing them for shipment.
- Operate various material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks and dollies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through data entry and regular audits.
- Practice good housekeeping and ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and safe.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed.
- Contribute to overall team efficiency and productivity in a demanding logistics setting.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or logistics environment is highly desirable.
- Must be able to handle frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
- A strong understanding of workplace safety and the importance of wearing PPE.
- Ability to work effectively in a physically demanding and fast-paced environment.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
- Punctuality and reliability are essential.
