We are seeking an experienced Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Tampa, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, and handling of materials within our warehouse facility. Your work is crucial to maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring a smooth flow of goods throughout our operations. We prioritize a safe working environment and expect all employees to adhere to our strict safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring materials are handled with care.
- Move materials to and from storage areas, production lines, and shipping docks.
- Accurately record material movements and inventory levels.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on material handling equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment according to company standards.
- Follow all company safety policies, including the proper use and maintenance of PPE.
- Participate in inventory management activities, including cycle counts.
- Tasks will involve regular and significant lifting and physical exertion.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring significant lifting (up to 60 lbs) on a regular basis.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Excellent knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
- Commitment to wearing required PPE at all times.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
