We are seeking a diligent Picker/Packer for our busy warehouse located in Detroit, Michigan. This role is central to our order fulfillment process, requiring accuracy, speed, and a commitment to quality. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items from our inventory and preparing them for shipment, ensuring they are packed securely and efficiently. You will work closely with other warehouse staff to meet daily targets and maintain smooth operations. - Accurately pick products based on order tickets or scanners.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Pack items securely into appropriate boxes or containers.
- Select correct shipping labels and apply them to packages.
- Prepare packages for shipment, ensuring they meet carrier requirements.
- Maintain productivity standards and meet daily picking and packing goals.
- Keep the packing station and work area clean and organized.
- Adhere to all warehouse Safety procedures and protocols.
- Wear required PPE , such as gloves and safety glasses, as necessary.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, supporting the overall Logistics flow.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a picker/packer or in a similar warehouse role is a plus.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Capability of repetitive motion and moderate to heavy Lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Understanding of shipping and receiving processes is beneficial.
