Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and store materials using appropriate equipment.
- Move materials throughout the warehouse to designated locations.
- Pick, pack, and prepare materials for shipping.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and potentially forklifts (with certification).
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock checks.
- Ensure materials are handled safely to prevent damage or injury.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following all safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize material flow and logistics.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Identify and report any safety hazards or operational inefficiencies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Physical stamina for manual labor, including frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Attention to detail and good organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain operations.
- Willingness to follow instructions and learn new skills.
- Commitment to wearing required PPE and maintaining a safe workplace.
