Our dynamic logistics hub in Seattle, Washington, is looking for a skilled Inventory Control Specialist. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. Your duties will include conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, implementing inventory control procedures, and managing stock levels to support our logistics operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of warehouse management systems.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure data accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly and efficiently.
- Implement and maintain effective inventory control procedures and policies.
- Monitor stock levels and identify potential shortages or overages.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff and logistics teams to ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO).
- Analyze inventory data and generate reports for management.
- Manage the return process and ensure accurate restocking.
- Ensure the proper organization and storage of inventory to optimize warehouse space.
- Uphold all safety standards and ensure compliance with the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Contribute to process improvements within the inventory and logistics functions.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar logistics role.
- Proficiency with inventory management software (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring physical stamina, including occasional lifting up to 30 pounds.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Good communication and leadership abilities.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
