Join our dynamic logistics team in Sacramento, California, as a Picker/Packer! We are seeking individuals with a sharp eye for detail and a commitment to efficiency to ensure accurate order fulfillment. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for locating specific items within our warehouse, meticulously preparing them for shipment, and ensuring they are packaged securely and correctly labeled. Success in this fast-paced environment requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to work quickly, and unwavering adherence to safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and the consistent use of required PPE. You will contribute directly to customer satisfaction by ensuring orders are accurate and timely. Become a key member of our Sacramento operations.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order lists and RF scanner data.
- Inspect picked items for defects or damage before packaging.
- Pack items securely and appropriately for shipment, selecting the correct packaging materials.
- Verify order accuracy, including item count and details, prior to sealing.
- Apply shipping labels and any necessary documentation correctly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including correct lifting methods.
- Ensure proper use and wear of all mandated PPE.
- Meet individual and team productivity goals for picking and packing.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding any order discrepancies or operational issues.
- Engage in tasks requiring frequent lifting and manual handling of goods.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a similar warehouse role is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in using RF scanners and reading pick tickets.
- Exceptional attention to detail for ensuring order accuracy.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and the importance of PPE.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
- Demonstrated capability in performing safe lifting of items up to required weights.
- Basic understanding of logistics and order fulfillment operations.
