Join our dynamic logistics team at our Jacksonville, Florida Distribution Center as a Distribution Center Associate! We are seeking motivated and reliable individuals to contribute to the efficient operations of our facility. As a Distribution Center Associate, you will be involved in a variety of tasks essential to the movement and storage of goods, including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and material handling. This role demands physical stamina, a keen eye for detail, and a strong commitment to safety. You'll work with a team dedicated to excellence in supply chain management. Successful candidates will be adaptable, efficient, and eager to learn. Safety is our highest priority, and all associates are required to strictly adhere to safety regulations and the proper use of PPE.
Responsibilities:
- Perform various warehouse duties including picking, packing, loading, unloading, and shipping orders.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks safely and efficiently.
- Conduct inventory checks and assist with cycle counts to maintain accuracy.
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments, verifying against purchase orders.
- Stage outgoing shipments, ensuring correct products and quantities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment according to company standards.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and the mandatory use of PPE.
- Meet or exceed performance metrics for productivity and accuracy.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to achieve departmental goals.
- Identify and report any operational issues or safety hazards immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is preferred.
- Experience operating various types of material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack) is a plus.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Commitment to upholding safety standards and wearing required PPE.
