Are you an experienced Reach Truck Operator looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity in Baltimore, Maryland? Our bustling logistics facility is seeking a skilled individual to operate a reach truck safely and efficiently. This role is essential for moving and organizing inventory within our warehouse, ensuring smooth operations and accurate stock management. You will play a key role in our supply chain, contributing to the timely and correct delivery of goods.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a reach truck to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count inventory.
- Safely load and unload products from trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Perform routine checks on the reach truck to ensure it is in good working order.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and locations.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety procedures and protocols, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, such as order picking and packing.
- Understand and follow all directives related to material handling and logistics.
- Ensure all Lifting operations are performed safely and within equipment capacity.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and orderly warehouse environment.
- Participate in inventory management activities and cycle counts.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating a reach truck, with certification preferred.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of Safety regulations in a warehouse setting.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Must be reliable and have a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Familiarity with scanning equipment is a plus.
- Willingness to wear required PPE, including safety shoes and vests.
- Experience with various lifting techniques is essential.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including some weekends if necessary.
