Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to ensure data accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
- Manage and maintain inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Monitor stock levels, reorder points, and safety stock to prevent stockouts and overstocking.
- Oversee the process for returns, damages, and expired goods.
- Collaborate with purchasing and operations teams to forecast inventory needs.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of all inventory items.
- Maintain compliance with all safety regulations, including the use of PPE, and contribute to a safe work environment.
- Generate reports on inventory levels, accuracy, and turnover for management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in WMS software and inventory management best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring some lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
