We are hiring a dedicated Material Handler for our busy warehouse in San Diego, California. In this role, you will be responsible for moving, organizing, and managing materials throughout the facility, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow for our logistics operations. You'll operate essential equipment and maintain order in storage areas. This position requires physical stamina and a strong commitment to Safety and operational excellence. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials.
- Transport materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Organize and store materials in designated locations, optimizing space utilization.
- Load outgoing shipments onto trucks.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with stock management.
- Ensure all materials are properly identified and stored.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Use and maintain required PPE, including safety vests, gloves, and hard hats.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed to support logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Forklift certification is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent Lifting.
- Capability for Lifting and moving items weighing up to 70 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety protocols and best practices.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Familiarity with basic logistics principles is a plus.
