We are hiring a Fulfillment Associate for our busy logistics center in Chicago, Illinois! This critical role supports the entire order fulfillment process, ensuring that our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. As a Fulfillment Associate, you will be involved in various aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping goods. You will utilize warehouse equipment and technology to manage inventory and process orders efficiently. Strong attention to detail is vital to minimize errors and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is energetic, reliable, and possesses a proactive approach to problem-solving. This role requires physical stamina, including the ability to perform lifting and standing for extended periods. A commitment to workplace safety is non-negotiable, and all associates must rigorously follow safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE. Join our team and be part of a dynamic logistics environment.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming inventory.
- Accurately pick items for customer orders using scanning devices or pick lists.
- Pack orders securely, ensuring product protection during transit.
- Prepare shipments for dispatch, including labeling and documentation.
- Stock shelves and maintain organized inventory locations.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and order pickers safely.
- Conduct inventory cycle counts and assist with stocktaking.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including mandatory use of PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily fulfillment goals in our logistics operations.
- Identify and report any issues with inventory, equipment, or processes.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or fulfillment role is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret order information accurately.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Capacity for physical work, including regular lifting up to 40 lbs and standing for long durations.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Basic computer proficiency.
