We are seeking a meticulous Shipping Clerk for our Charlotte, North Carolina location. This role is essential for the accurate and timely processing of outgoing shipments, ensuring our products reach their destinations efficiently. The Shipping Clerk will manage documentation, coordinate with carriers, and maintain the flow of goods within our **logistics** network. A strong commitment to **safety** and the proper use of **PPE** is required.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping labels and documentation accurately.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Verify outgoing shipments against orders for accuracy and completeness.
- Inspect packages for damage before dispatch.
- Maintain records of shipped goods and tracking information.
- Communicate with internal departments and external partners regarding shipment status.
- Operate shipping equipment such as scales and pallet jacks.
- Ensure the shipping area is clean, organized, and **safety** compliant.
- Adhere to all company policies and **PPE** guidelines.
- Assist with receiving and other warehouse duties as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a shipping clerk or in a similar **logistics** role is preferred.
- Proficiency in shipping software and basic computer skills.
- Strong organizational and attention to detail skills.
- Ability to perform tasks involving **Lifting** up to 30 lbs.
- Familiarity with shipping procedures and carrier requirements.
- Knowledge of **PPE** and commitment to workplace **safety**.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliability and punctuality.
