We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our bustling warehouse facility in Raleigh, North Carolina. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a vital role in the efficient movement of materials within our distribution center. Your primary responsibility will be to operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent **safety** awareness, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic **logistics** environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently to transport materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Move products from receiving or storage areas to shipping or other designated areas.
- Accurately stack and retrieve products using a forklift.
- Perform routine checks on forklift equipment and report any maintenance issues.
- Assist in keeping the warehouse organized and clean.
- Follow all **safety** procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Utilize scanners and inventory management systems as required.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including wearing required **PPE**.
- Participate in inventory counts and other warehouse tasks as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification (or ability to obtain one).
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Demonstrated understanding of warehouse operations and **logistics** principles.
- Excellent knowledge of **safety** protocols for forklift operation and warehouse environments.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including regular **Lifting** (up to 50 lbs).
- Familiarity with **PPE** and its proper use.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including potential overtime.
