We are actively recruiting for an Order Picker position within our state-of-the-art logistics facility in Charlotte, North Carolina. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring accurate and timely order fulfillment for our diverse clientele. Your primary responsibility will be to accurately retrieve items from warehouse shelves based on customer orders, using advanced scanning technology. Responsibilities:
- Systematically pick products from warehouse locations according to digital or paper pick lists.
- Verify product identity, quantity, and condition against order requirements before proceeding.
- Utilize electric pallet jacks or other warehouse equipment safely to transport goods.
- Package orders securely to prevent damage during transit, following established guidelines.
- Identify and report any inventory discrepancies, damaged items, or potential safety concerns to management.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of assigned work zones and equipment.
- Strictly adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with cycle counting and other inventory management tasks as assigned.
- Participate in training programs designed to enhance picking accuracy and efficiency.
- Perform tasks that involve considerable lifting, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an order picking or warehouse environment is a plus.
- Ability to read and comprehend pick tickets and product labels accurately.
- Basic mathematical skills for counting and verification purposes.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and the safe use of material handling equipment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a dedication to achieving high accuracy rates.
- Capability to work productively both independently and as part of a cohesive team.
- Must be physically fit and able to perform demanding tasks involving lifting, bending, and prolonged standing.
- A proactive approach to safety and adherence to all logistics regulations is paramount.
