Our Seattle, Washington location is seeking a diligent Shipping & Receiving Associate to manage the inflow and outflow of goods. This role is crucial for maintaining efficient logistics and ensuring accurate inventory management. You will be responsible for inspecting, documenting, and processing all incoming and outgoing shipments, while upholding the highest standards of Safety and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Verify delivery details against purchase orders and internal records.
- Process outgoing shipments, including preparing documentation, labeling, and staging.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through timely data entry and system updates.
- Ensure the dock and warehouse areas are organized, clean, and safe.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, vendors, and internal departments.
- Must be capable of frequent Lifting of items up to 60 lbs.
- Support the overall logistics and supply chain functions of the facility.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations.
- Proficiency in operating material handling equipment.
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain best practices.
- Strong understanding of Safety procedures and regulations.
- Physical ability to perform tasks involving significant Lifting, standing, and walking.
- Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficient computer skills for data entry and system navigation.
