Our growing logistics facility in Boise, Idaho is seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk. You will be responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of all outgoing shipments. This includes preparing shipping documents, coordinating with carriers, and ensuring that all packages are correctly labeled and dispatched. Your role is crucial in maintaining customer satisfaction by ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products. You will work closely with other warehouse staff to ensure a seamless flow of goods from our facility to our customers, contributing to our overall logistics success. We are committed to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping labels and documentation accurately.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for pickups and deliveries.
- Verify order accuracy before shipment.
- Ensure all packages are securely sealed and properly labeled for transit.
- Track outgoing shipments and provide updates as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area, adhering to safety standards and proper use of PPE.
- Operate shipping equipment such as pallet jacks and scanning devices.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and external partners regarding shipment status.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as required, including tasks involving moderate Lifting.
- Support overall logistics operations and contribute to efficiency goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar logistics role is preferred.
- Proficiency in data entry and basic computer skills.
- Experience with shipping software and carrier portals is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of shipping regulations and logistics best practices.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including moderate Lifting.
