We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics operations in San Diego, California. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our facility. This role is essential to maintaining optimal workflow and ensuring that inventory is accurately managed and readily available. You will work collaboratively with our warehouse team, contributing to overall productivity and operational excellence. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and process incoming materials and inventory.
- Stage materials for production or shipping areas, ensuring accuracy.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and efficiently.
- Store materials in designated locations, maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks, involving significant lifting.
- Participate in inventory management activities, including cycle counts.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency in operating various material handling equipment; forklift certification is a strong asset.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and protocols.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and following all logistics guidelines.
