Join our dynamic logistics team in Portland, Oregon, as a skilled Forklift Operator! We are looking for experienced and safety-conscious individuals to operate forklifts and perform various warehouse duties. This role is essential for the efficient movement of goods within our facility, from receiving and put-away to order picking and staging for shipment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe operation, excellent spatial awareness, and a commitment to maintaining a productive and secure work environment. You will be a key player in ensuring smooth warehouse operations and upholding our high standards.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and equipment within the warehouse.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure they are in safe working condition.
- Accurately pick and stage orders for shipment according to pick lists.
- Assist with receiving and put-away of incoming inventory.
- Maintain organized storage areas and ensure product integrity.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Participate in regular inventory counts and assist with inventory management.
- Perform general warehouse duties as assigned, including sweeping, organizing, and light maintenance.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately to supervisors.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 1-2 years of proven experience as a Forklift Operator is required, along with a valid forklift certification. Candidates must have excellent knowledge of warehouse operations and safety procedures. Strong spatial reasoning skills and the ability to handle frequent lifting (up to 60 lbs) are necessary. A commitment to a safe work environment, including the correct use of PPE, is paramount. Familiarity with WMS and logistics is a plus.
