We are seeking an Order Picker to join our dynamic warehouse team in Richmond, Virginia. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. Your primary focus will be on efficiency, accuracy, and ensuring that orders are picked correctly and promptly to meet customer expectations. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment. You will use scanning equipment to locate and pick items, ensuring they are handled with care before being passed on for packing. We value safety above all else and require strict adherence to all safety guidelines, including the use of appropriate PPE. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders from designated warehouse locations using pick lists or RF scanners.
- Verify product identity and quantity before adding items to order carts.
- Handle products with care to prevent damage during the picking process.
- Stage picked orders in the designated area for packing and shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Participate in inventory counts as needed.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding order status or any issues encountered.
- Meet or exceed established productivity and accuracy standards.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned to support overall logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in order picking or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and following instructions carefully.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- Willingness to work required shifts and overtime as needed.
