Join our thriving logistics operation as a Forklift Operator in Nashville, Tennessee! We are looking for a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to safely and efficiently move materials throughout our warehouse. This role is vital to our supply chain, ensuring that inventory is accurately stored, retrieved, and staged for shipment. Responsibilities include operating various types of forklifts, loading and unloading trucks, moving pallets, and organizing stock. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures, be physically capable of performing the required duties, and possess a valid forklift certification. You will be expected to maintain the forklift in good working condition, report any mechanical issues immediately, and follow all safety protocols. Regular lifting may be involved, typically up to 50 lbs. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as steel-toed boots and safety glasses, must be worn at all times. This is a demanding but rewarding position where you'll be an integral part of our logistics network. We value efficiency, accuracy, and a commitment to safety. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Transport goods from receiving to storage areas and from storage to shipping.
- Perform pre-operational checks on forklifts and report any issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety regulations and guidelines, including wearing required PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Handle materials with care to prevent damage.
- Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding material movement.
- Contribute to overall warehouse efficiency and productivity.
