We are seeking motivated individuals to join our logistics team as Order Pickers in Portland, Oregon. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting items from our warehouse inventory to fulfill customer orders. You will use scanning equipment to locate products and ensure that the correct items and quantities are picked. This position is crucial for ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment. We maintain a high standard of Safety, requiring all employees to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow all safety procedures. The role involves significant physical activity, including walking, bending, and considerable Lifting, so candidates must be physically fit. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on order lists or scanning devices.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Transport picked items to the packing or staging area.
- Maintain productivity standards for picking rates.
- Keep the picking areas clean and organized.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and use required PPE.
- Report any stock discrepancies or damages to supervisors.
- Operate pallet jacks and other equipment as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow.
- Contribute to overall warehouse productivity and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in order picking or warehouse work is beneficial.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including substantial Lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with scanning technology is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Commitment to following Safety guidelines and wearing PPE.
- Basic understanding of logistics processes.
