We are seeking a dedicated Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our thriving logistics center in Dallas, Texas. This role is essential for managing the inbound and outbound flow of goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency at every step. You will be responsible for unloading incoming shipments, verifying contents against documentation, inspecting for damages, and preparing outgoing shipments with meticulous care. A strong commitment to Safety and precision is critical. Your work directly impacts our ability to serve our customers and maintain seamless operations within the Logistics chain. The ideal candidate will be organized, reliable, and capable of performing physical tasks, including substantial Lifting . Wearing the correct PPE at all times is mandatory to ensure your safety. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders or invoices.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing goods for damage or discrepancies.
- Accurately record received and shipped items in the inventory management system.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including packing, labeling, and staging.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in both shipping and receiving bays.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Wear and maintain all required PPE , including safety shoes and vests.
- Coordinate with carriers for pick-ups and deliveries.
- Perform necessary manual Lifting as required to manage freight.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and inventory systems.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including heavy Lifting (up to 60 lbs).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and adherence to all regulations.
- Willingness to wear and maintain all designated PPE .
- Familiarity with Logistics and supply chain processes.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
