We are hiring an Order Picker for our distribution center in Omaha, Nebraska. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for locating and retrieving items from warehouse shelves according to order slips. Your speed, accuracy, and attention to detail are critical to maintaining our high standards of service and operational flow.
Responsibilities:
- Read order slips or use scanning devices to locate and pick correct items.
- Retrieve items from designated warehouse locations, ensuring accuracy in quantity and product.
- Transport picked items to packing stations or staging areas.
- Perform quality checks to confirm order accuracy and product condition.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all warehouse safety standards.
- Follow all protocols for the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Operate pallet jacks and other basic material handling equipment safely.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed, including occasional lifting.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform tasks that involve regular lifting of items up to 45 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work at a steady pace in a physically demanding environment.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Willingness to strictly adhere to all safety regulations and use required PPE.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
