We are looking for an experienced Reach Truck Operator to join our logistics team in Washington, D.C. This role involves operating a reach truck to manage inventory in a high-volume warehouse. You will be responsible for the efficient movement and placement of goods within our racking systems, ensuring accuracy and speed. Safety is paramount in our operations, and all employees must strictly adhere to safety procedures and guidelines, including the use of appropriate PPE. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a reach truck to put away and retrieve inventory from racking systems.
- Maneuver in tight spaces and operate equipment at elevated heights.
- Conduct pre-shift checks on the reach truck and report any maintenance needs.
- Support accurate inventory management through precise put-away and picking.
- Follow all Safety regulations and company policies to ensure a secure workplace.
- Handle materials with care, adhering to safe Lifting practices.
- Contribute to the seamless operation of our logistics network.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of obstructions.
- Wear all mandated PPE, including protective footwear and eye protection.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, promoting a collaborative team environment.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience operating a reach truck is required. Ability to work safely at heights. Capable of performing moderate Lifting tasks. Understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory control principles. A strong focus on Safety and efficiency. Must be willing to wear and use required PPE.
