Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Material Handler to join our growing logistics team in San Antonio, Texas. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse facility. This includes receiving, storing, picking, and distributing materials. The ideal candidate is reliable, has a strong understanding of warehouse operations, and is committed to maintaining a safe working environment by adhering to all safety protocols and utilizing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Your efforts will directly contribute to the smooth flow of goods and the overall efficiency of our logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
  • Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials for damage and accuracy.
  • Store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper organization and inventory control.
  • Pick materials required for outgoing shipments or production needs accurately.
  • Operate various material handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, safely and efficiently.
  • Load and unload trucks and containers, ensuring materials are secured properly.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counts.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment at all times.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
  • Identify and report any safety hazards or operational issues to supervisors promptly.
  • Support overall logistics operations by ensuring timely and accurate movement of materials.

Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse/logistics role is required. Proficiency in operating forklifts and other common warehouse equipment is a must. Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 60 pounds. Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet production targets. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed for logistics demands. Commitment to adhering to all safety guidelines and the proper use of PPE is essential.
