We are seeking experienced Forklift Operators to join our busy distribution center in Phoenix, Arizona. This role is critical to the efficient flow of goods within our logistics operations. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. Your expertise will ensure that materials are transported to and from the correct locations within the warehouse, facilitating smooth receiving, storage, and shipping processes. We prioritize a safe working environment and expect all operators to adhere to strict safety regulations and utilize all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This is an excellent opportunity for skilled individuals to contribute to a dynamic logistics team.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently to move palletized loads.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers with accuracy and care.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas, production lines, and shipping docks.
- Perform routine inspections of forklift equipment before and after use, reporting any issues.
- Stack and arrange inventory in designated locations, ensuring stability and accessibility.
- Assist with inventory counts and verification as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations, including maintaining proper clearances and situational awareness.
- Adhere to all guidelines regarding the use of PPE, such as safety vests and hard hats.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, contributing to overall warehouse efficiency.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff and supervisors to ensure smooth logistics operations.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with valid certification (e.g., OSHA). Must be able to operate various types of forklifts. Ability to lift and move objects up to 70 pounds. Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices. Excellent spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination. Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment and meet performance targets. Good communication and teamwork skills. Willingness to perform physical tasks as needed, in addition to operating the forklift. Commitment to adhering to all safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE. Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime, as required by the logistics demands.
