We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk for our facility in Boise, Idaho. This role is integral to our logistics department, ensuring that all outgoing shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company and carrier standards. You will be responsible for preparing shipping documents, coordinating with carriers, tracking shipments, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate is organized, possesses strong communication skills, and has a keen eye for detail. - Prepare and process all shipping documentation accurately, including bills of lading and shipping labels.
- Coordinate with freight carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Verify that outgoing shipments match orders and documentation.
- Track shipments and provide updates to relevant parties.
- Maintain organized and accurate shipping records.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, carriers, and customers regarding shipment status.
- Ensure all packages are properly labeled and prepared for transit.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Wear appropriate PPE as mandated for warehouse and shipping operations.
- Assist in other areas of warehouse Logistics as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar administrative/logistics role is preferred.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and general computer applications.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle moderate physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of packages (up to 30 lbs).
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of shipping procedures and carrier requirements is beneficial.
