Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts for material handling, loading, and unloading.
- Transport goods within the warehouse to designated areas.
- Perform routine inspections of forklifts to ensure operational readiness and safety.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, such as cycle counting and put-away.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety standards.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ensure that all loads are secure and properly handled.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to optimize workflow and efficiency.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including the proper use and maintenance of PPE.
- Report any operational issues or safety concerns immediately.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of safe operating procedures and warehouse logistics.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
- A strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to PPE guidelines.
