Job Description
Landscaping Foreman
Full-Time | Year-Round Work
If you’ve built a strong reputation in landscaping and are ready to lead your own crew but don’t want the financial risk, overhead, or corporate bureaucracy that comes with starting your own company - this could be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.
This opening is with a well-established, family-owned landscape company in the Raleigh area with deep roots in the community. The team is tight-knit, collaborative, and focused on delivering high-quality work, without the layers of management you’d find at a large corporation.
Why This Role Stands Out:
- Lead your own small crew
- Have real ownership over projects and daily operations
- Work directly with decision-makers
- Build something you can be proud of, with stability and support behind you
- Opportunity to grow your group over time without taking on personal financial risk
What You’ll Do:
Crew Leadership
- Supervise and mentor crew members on residential and light commercial projects
- Set daily priorities and keep projects moving efficiently
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and professionalism
Project Oversight
- Interpret landscape plans and execute installations accurately
- Coordinate materials, equipment, and labor for each job
- Communicate directly with clients to ensure expectations are met
- Deliver projects on time and to high standards
Hands-On Installation
- Oversee and participate in planting (trees, plants, shrubs, sod, seasonal color)
- Manage grading, drainage, and irrigation
- Operate landscaping tools and equipment
- Ensure proper horticultural practices suited to the North Carolina climate
Safety & Organization
- Maintain safe, organized job sites
- Ensure equipment and vehicles are properly maintained
- Uphold company standards and best practices
What We’re Looking For:
- 3+ years of professional landscaping experience
- Prior crew leadership or supervisory experience
- Ability to read and interpret landscape plans
- Strong knowledge of plant material appropriate for North Carolina
- Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus, not required)
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday
- Occasional Saturdays and overtime during peak seasons
This is an ideal opportunity for a seasoned landscaper who wants to take the next step such as running a crew, having a voice, and building something meaningful, without the pressure of running an entire business alone.
If you’re ready for more responsibility, more autonomy, and a company that values craftsmanship and leadership, we’d love to connect.
